Glass festival in September: exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops across the city, in Murano and Mestre.
The Venice Glass Week, nine days all about glass
The Venice Glass Week is a festival dedicated to glass, held every year in September. It has no single venue: exhibitions, glassblower demonstrations, workshops and talks are spread across Venice, Murano, home to the lagoon's glassmaking tradition, and Mestre.
The programme blends craftsmanship and contemporary creation: historic glassworks, artists, galleries, museums and foundations open their doors or stage special events. It is a good opportunity to see workshops, such as the glass furnaces and workshops of Murano, and to visit the Glass Museum in a livelier setting than usual.
Next edition: the 2027 dates had not been announced in mid-October 2026; the festival takes place every year in September.
