Data controller

Venise-voyage.org (EI), publisher of the Venise-Voyage website. For any question about your personal data, contact us at redaction@venise-voyage.org.

What we store in your browser

The "favourites" and "my itinerary" features save the places you select directly in your browser (local storage, localStorage), without ever sending this list to our servers. This data stays on your device, is never shared, and is deleted if you clear your browser's browsing data or click "Clear itinerary". No consent is required for this use, which is strictly necessary for the service you requested to function.

Cookies

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and customise your choices by category. You can change your preferences at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of the page.

Third-party services used

  • OpenStreetMap / Leaflet : the site's interactive maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap's servers. This may result in your IP address being sent to this service, regardless of your cookie choices (necessary for displaying the map itself).
  • Stay22 : accommodation maps are loaded from stay22.com only after your consent, via an iframe that may set its own cookies. See Stay22's privacy policy.
  • Ticketing partners (GetYourGuide, Tiqets or similar) : the "Tours, tickets and activities" link redirects you to a third-party partner site in a new tab. We do not set any cookies from these services on our own site; their privacy policies apply once you have joined them.
  • Facebook : the "Like on Facebook" link is a simple hyperlink to our page; no Facebook module is loaded on this site and no Facebook cookie is set until you click it.
  • Google AdSense : if enabled by the publisher, this service may display advertisements. If you only consent to the "Non-personalised advertising" category, the ads shown are based on the page content, with no targeting linked to your browsing. If you also consent to the "Personalised advertising" category, ad targeting based on your browsing may apply.

Your rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. As this site does not collect user accounts or server-side personal data beyond the cookies described above, most of these rights are exercised directly by managing your cookies from your browser or via the "Manage cookies" link.

For any other request, write to us at redaction@venise-voyage.org. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to applicable regulations. The last update date appears at the top of this page.
